Health Professionals Acting as First Aider.
HCP/AHCPs may only provide first aid cover (along with additional support and/or treatment) based on their qualifications and experience and training. HCPs can ONLY provide ICP cover if they have attended specific ICP training.
Winscombe RFC must ensure that the HCP has appropriate insurance for the role. HCPs providing medical cover above that of an EFA may require their own insurance arrangements as a requirement of their regulating body. Below the elite level of sport, such insurance will usually be provided at no additional cost to them, as long as they have the appropriate training and experience.
